Tatay

My first playmate and my best friend. I not just lucky to have him, I am blessed because he is my father.

I call him "tatay" because that is what he likes me to. We are always together when it comes to naughtiness and silliness. We are both fond of eating and playing. We share lots of similarities, that's why I can really say that he is my father.

Since I was 3 or 4, my father would tell me stories before going to sleep. Every night, same stories, "Si Pagong at Si Matsing" and "Si Pagong at Si Kuneho". I will never forget these stories because they already became a part of me. He is very kind. He allows me to play with my cousins even it's already dark. He even join us in playing tagu-taguan and baril-barilan even though my mother was already angry.

When I was in grade 2, I gave him a card saying, "Tatay, pasensya po muna kayo kasi po wala pa po akong pera pambili ng regalo sa birthday niyo kasi wala pa po akong trabaho.", that's very simple but that made him cry. I'm always giving him cards whenever there are occasions. But I didn't gave him one this Father's Day because we had argue last week.

This time, I want to tell him that I really really love him so much. I know I have been rude many a times. Sometimes, he feels that I just don't care. I am even answering back whenever argue. I may be too stubborn but he's always there for me. I want to tell him that I am so sorry for all mistakes I've done. I promise that I will study harder and I will never give him tons of problems again.
